Katsukokoiso.ai is the artistic identity of Eugenio Marongiu, an Italian AI artist and professional photographer based in Milan.
Born in Sardinia in 1980, Marongiu moved to Milan in 2009, where he developed and expanded his photographic practice. With over 17 years of experience in image-making, his work with artificial intelligence grows directly out of photography, extending its language into the evolving field of post-photographic image and video creation.
Through katsukokoiso.ai, he explores the encounter between human vision and generative systems, developing works that move between visual research, artistic practice, and commissioned production. His images and videos often investigate themes such as identity, transformation, hyperconnectivity, solitude, and the shifting relationship between human presence and synthetic worlds.
Rather than treating AI as a break from photography, Marongiu approaches it as a new space for visual construction, direction, and imagination. His practice combines photographic knowledge, aesthetic precision, and technological experimentation to create works that are both conceptually grounded and visually striking.
Alongside his artistic research, he collaborates with artists, brands, institutions, and cultural projects across different fields, working at the intersection of contemporary visual culture, photography, and artificial intelligence.

Developed the AI visual direction for BI-2’s music video Без любви не греет солнце (Without Love, the Sun Does Not Warm, 2026), turning the collaboration with one of Eastern Europe’s most influential rock bands into a shared artistic dialogue between music, image, and generative tools, with my synthetic surrealism playing a central role alongside the vision of lead singer Leva.
ALIOLA, Alicante 2026, Opening Lectio on Art and Artificial Intelligence
Delivered an opening lectio magistralis at ALIOLA, the design conference organized by EASDA in Alicante, reflecting on the relationship between art, photography, and artificial intelligence through my artistic and professional journey.
Katsukokoiso.ai x OOVIE Studios x Béla Bartók, Piccolo Teatro di Milano & WAIFF Cannes
Collaborated with OOVIE Studios on an AI-driven visual work inspired by Béla Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances, presented at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler in Milan and later selected to open the Night Gala of the World AI Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, bringing my generative visual language into a live dialogue with music and performance.
Steve Aoki & Chapter & Verse, “Easy” ft. MERYLL, Official Visualizer
Created the official visualizer for Steve Aoki, Chapter & Verse, and MERYLL’s “Easy” through RW Media, translating the track’s high-energy electronic pulse into a synthetic surreal visual language and turning the piece into a distinct audiovisual experience.

Featured as cover artist for NFT Magazine in collaboration with RED•EYE, with a project and interview exploring my artistic research across AI imagery, post-photographic language, and contemporary digital culture.

"AI Yoga per Intelligenze Artistiche" Exhibition at Meet in Milano promoted by Lenovo
In addition to exhibiting my AI work 'Everyday Life,' I worked for Lenovo, producing two AI video works in Instagram Reels format, created with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, which I was among the first to test. I also worked as a content creator/influencer to document the exhibition’s inauguration, and as a video maker, creating the interview video with three of the AI artists featured in the exhibition, which was played at the opening of the event.
